Who we are
You might be relocating for a new role, waiting for a house purchase to complete, or simply needing a base in the city for a few weeks. Matte Estate Rental was set up to give you a furnished flat that feels lived-in from the first evening, rather than a hotel room you have to rearrange your life around.
We are operated by MATTE BLACK PROPERTIES LIMITED, and our flats are chosen one by one. Every home is inspected in person before it joins our list, and we check the same things each time: a proper mattress, a table you can eat at, reliable broadband, and kitchen equipment that actually works. Nothing goes on the website until it passes that look-over.
The practical side matters just as much. When you request a stay, you deal with the same small team from your first message to your checkout. We answer questions about parking, early check-in and the nearest supermarket ourselves, because we know the buildings and the streets around them.
We keep our list short on purpose. Fewer flats means we can visit them often, replace anything worn, and make changes when a guest tells us something could be better. If a flat is not right for your dates, we will say so and suggest another. That honesty is the reason many of our guests come back for their next contract or family visit.
Whether you need a two-week stay near the office or a two-month base while your own home is finished, you can request dates through the site and we will confirm what is available. There is no call centre in between, and no long list of extras to read through before you can book.
We walk each property before your stay, test the heating, make the beds and leave clear notes for the building. If something is not right, you tell us and we fix it during your stay, not after.
